The County Antrim village of Ahoghill has been named the 2009 Calor Village of the Year® for Northern Ireland.

Ahoghill beat off stiff competition from nine other villages across Northern Ireland to win the coveted title and a cash prize of £5,000.

The 2009 Calor Village of the Year Competition for Northern Ireland is now closed.

This year’s winners will be announced at the Calor Village of the Year Northern Ireland awards ceremony, which will take place on 20th October 2009 at the Clandeboye Lodge Hotel, Clandeboye, Bangor Co Down.
