After assessment and the short listing of the entries, a panel of judges will arrange to visit the communities/villages which reach the final stage to decide the prize winners. The judges’ decision will be final. The winning communities/villages will be presented with their awards before the end of 2009 and a list of winners will be available by writing to the organisers after the presentation event in December.
Villages who are short-listed will receive a visit from a separate team of Judges. These visits will take place between the 29th June and 3rd July 2009. Each visit will last up to two hours and this will be an opportunity for the village to make a presentation to the Judges. Please see Preparing for the Judges’ Visit on page 7 of the Entry Form & Guidelines 2009.
Each successful short listed village organiser will be contacted by the Friday 5th June 2009 the Judging Organiser to discuss the timing of the Judges’ visit.
By entering this competition Community Councils agree to allow the organisers the rights to full publicity. Prizes should be used to fund community projects and these can be outlined in your entry, although this will not be taken into account during the judging process.
Winners will be announced by the end of October 2009
